I made this as a practice cake using Chocolate Clay. Each leaf was hand molded onto a half ball cake. This is a white almond cake with strawberry buttercream filling

For my Brother in Law

My brother in law had asked me months ago to make him a Dale Jr race car cake. Well I was not sure where to even begin on this. I baked the cakes then walked around them for days trying to figure out where to start carving. No instructions as to where to even begin I picked up my carving knife and away I went. Not really what I had in mind but I am pleased with the results. Learned a lot of lessons on this one.

These Flip Flop cookies were done for a little girls gymnastics teacher. Sugar cookies designed with fondant.

Under the Sea

I made this cake for my very best friends birthday. Top layer was chocolate cherry cheese cake flavored cake with whipped ganache filling and the bottom layer was pineapple banana cake filled with strawberry filling. Covered in fondant and decorated with white chocolate and gumpaste decorations.

A grill cake for Fathers day

I could not let Fathers day go by with out a special cake for them. This is a chocolate cake with whipped ganache filling. Cake is covered in Fondant and the grill rack is made from chocolate. The hamburgers and hot dogs were also fondant and the flames are made of buttercream.

Tulips for mom

I made this cake for Mothers day. We had a big cookout and had the family over. This was a French Vanilla cake with Cookies and cream filling. The pot was the cake and the tulips, leave and bow were made from fondant.

Buzz in swim trunks

My little cousin wanted a Buzz Light Year cake with him in swim trunks. This is a white cake with buttercream Icing. He turned 3 years old this year.

Regular Rolled Buttercream

This is a rolled buttercream icing on a white cake. The filling is pineapple and a fondant twisted boarder. The flowers and leaves are made from gum paste

Chocolate Rolled buttercream

This was a experiment cake. I used a chocolate rolled buttercream icing on a chocolate cake. The filling was a whipped ganache. Rolled buttercream had the taste of buttercream icing with the look of fondant.

Dale Jr fan

This was a cake for a friend who is a big Jr fan. This is a white cake covered in Cream cheese icing and decorated with Royal Icing emblems.

Chocolate Covered Cherry cake

My husband loves chocolate covered cherries so I decided I would make a chocolate covered cherry cake. I filled it with whipped ganache and covered the cake in ganache icing. Piped whipped ganache on the sides and top

This is a chocolate cake with peanut butter filling. The cake is covered in Gaunahe Icing. This is one of my husbands favorite cakes.

Amanda's birthday cake

I made this cake for my daughters birthday in March. This is a chocolate cake with cream cheese icing and filling. It is decorated in Royal Icing flowers and net butterflies I made.

Basket of Pumkin cake

This was a cake I made for Thanksgiving 2007. The basket is the cake, the leaves and pumpkin's are made out of fondant. The cake was chocolate with a cookies and cream filling. The cake was covered in fondant. I had a hard time convincing everyone that this was a cake until I cut it.

Richelle's Wedding

My daughter came to me last April and announced to me she was getting married. That was great, but then she told me she wanted me to make her wedding cake. I had never made a wedding cake or gum paste flowers but I am always up for a challenge. I did not know what a challenge it was going to be. This was the beginning of my career in cake decorating. This cake was a white cake with chocolate Bavarian cream filling, iced in buttercream. Every flower on that cake was hand made from gum paste.

Lisa's Garden
